Bio

Mr. Ferrari is an independent Senior Advisor serving in the board of directors of Huntsman Corporation(NYSE:HUN) and Venator Materials PLC (NYSE:VTR) chairing the Audit Committee. He is also a board member of the Oxford University Business Economics Program. Until December 31,2020 he served, for the last ten years, as the Chief Executive Officer of Versalis S.p.A. one of Europe’s largest chemical companies and Chairman of Matrìca S.p.A., a joint-venture with Novamont, a leader in the bio-plastics industry at the forefront of the renewable chemistry sector, operating integrated full “renewable” chemical complex. Mr. Ferrari has more than 35 years of direct operating and executive experience in the chemical industry. He worked for Agip Petroli, a subsidiary of Eni S.p.A and Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI) before joining Huntsman in 1997, rising through numerous roles and international assignments up to become global President of their Performance Products division. He was the immediate past-President of CEFIC, the European Chemical Industry Council, the largest trade association for the chemical industry in Europe, where he interacted on their behalf with international and EU institutions, NGO’s, international media, and other stakeholders. He currently serves in the Board of Directors of Heubach. He previously served as President of PlasticsEurope Bruxelles, the association of European plastics manufacturers and as Board Member of the recently created global Alliance to End Plastics Waste. He has an Industrial Chemical background and was awarded in December 2019 of a Honorary Master Degree in Chemical Sciences from the University of Ferrara (Italy).
