Bio

Sean McEnroe serves on multiple equity-backed, multi-site healthcare start-up and non-profit boards. Sean uses his experience as both an entrepreneur and a senior executive in a large, private equity-backed company to prioritize strategy for significant growth and transformation. Mr. McEnroe joined ATI Physical Therapy, a nationwide operator of 1000+ physical therapy clinics, in 2015. At ATI, McEnroe served as the Chief Strategy Officer during a period of rapid expansion, executive leadership growth, and equity partner transition from KRG Capital to Advent International. During this period, Sean led the efforts to install the Transformation Office which was responsible for creating and executing the value creation plan. These efforts focused on growth from 300 clinics when he arrived to over 1000 clinics currently. Prior to ATI, Sean served as the CEO of Proaxis Therapy, a regional platform in physical therapy established in professional partnership with the world renown orthopedic surgeons of the Steadman Hawkins Clinic originally in Vail, CO eventually expanding throughout the Mountain West and the Southeast. As an Executive Partner, Mr. McEnroe advises on strategy and operations throughout the portfolio. He works with management teams, investment teams and operating partners to identify best practice and drive value creation. Mr. McEnroe served on the Board of Directors of the Private Practice Section of the American Physical Therapy Association, the largest organization of physical therapy business owners and entrepreneurs. Mr. McEnroe is a founding member of the Orthopedic Research Foundation of the Carolinas, and endowed research endeavor supporting the coordination of research efforts of the largest athletic training network in the nation and the establishment of subsidiary research foundations within the network of >300 orthopedics/sports medicine fellows of the Steadman Hawkins Clinic. Sean’s current work interests include businesses in healthcare technology, multi-site healthcare, and multi-site service/retail. Sean is a graduate of Marquette University School of Physical Therapy with an MBA from Denver University.
