Bio

Thomas Simon is a Partner in the Services team. Quoting John Kenneth Galbraith, who said that “the only function of economic forecasting is to make astrology respectable”, Thomas considers human partnership to be the strongest way to navigate the ups and downs of business development. He fully shares the philosophy of Seven2 whose objective is to support companies and their management teams in high growth phases and enable them to take new steps in their development, whether it’s going digital, acquiring other companies, or expanding internationally. One of his motivations to join Seven2 was the strength of its teams and their way of supporting companies actively and pragmatically, yet without interference and always with the aim of creating value together. A regular spectator of the Comédie-Française, Thomas appropriated the group’s motto, “Simul et singulis” (which means “to be together and to be yourself), which illustrates, in his opinion, the importance of contributing to a collective work by his personality and his individuality. This principle guides him in his professional partnerships, with Seven2 teams and those of supported companies. As a father of two boys, Thomas is also treasurer of an association in favor of the youth of Honduras (Paris-Tegu). In his spare time, he enjoys hurtling down the ski slopes of the Alps, perfecting his swing on the tennis courts, and working his balance on a yoga mat. A graduate of ESSEC, Thomas began his career in 2004 in the Investment Banking division of Goldman Sachs, in London and then in Paris, before joining Apax Partners (now Seven2) in 2008 as a Senior Associate. Thomas became Partner in the Services team in 2018. He is also a member of the UJARF (Union des Jeunes Assureurs et Réassureurs Français), a think tank in the insurance sector.
