Bio

Prior to joining Searchlight in 2023, Mr. Chona was a Principal at Perry Creek Capital, where he focused on distressed debt, private equity, and public equity investments. Previously, Mr. Chona was an Associate at MHR Fund Management, where he focused on activist equity and control distressed debt opportunities. He began his career as an Analyst at Bain Capital in the Distressed & Special Situations group. Mr. Chona graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Economics from The Wharton School and a BA in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania as part of the Vagelos Program in Life Sciences & Management.
