Bio

Prior to joining Searchlight in 2017, Mr. Shin was a managing director and Head of North American Investments, and served on the investment committee which approved distressed-for-control and private equity investments, at Strategic Value Partners. Previously, Mr. Shin advised several leading private equity firms and worked at Saunders Karp & Megrue in New York, where he focused on investments in a diverse set of industries. Mr. Shin began his career at Goldman Sachs in New York. He received a BS in economics from the Wharton School and a BSE in electrical engineering from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania.
