Adam Weene serves as Managing Director, Private Equity of Saban Capital Group. In this role, Mr. Weene identifies, evaluates, and executes private equity investment, and new business development, opportunities. Mr. Weene has played a key role on behalf of Saban in the acquisitions of The Power Rangers from The Walt Disney Company, Paul Frank Industries, and Mambo and Piping Hot, two iconic Australian fashion brands. In addition, Mr. Weene has been instrumental to the evaluation and launch of Saban Films and Saban Brands. Prior to Saban Capital, Mr. Weene evaluated acquisitions, partnerships, new business development efforts, and strategic initiatives for The Walt Disney Company in his role within Disney’s Strategic Planning and Corporate Development department. In addition, Mr. Weene formerly oversaw business development, strategic planning, international, and mobile initiatives for The Tennis Channel. Mr. Weene also worked in private equity for Electra where he focused on investing in middle market companies in a wide range of industries and in mergers and acquisitions advisory for The Bridgeford Group. Mr. Weene holds a BA in Economics with honors from Harvard University and an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton Business School.
