John has spent 25 years leading corporate strategy and communications services businesses for Fortune 500 and venture-backed clients, emphasizing teams that blend domain expertise, analytic-driven insights, and leading SaaS technologies. His experience spans B2B and B2C, marketing and sales channels, paid and earned channels, as well as operations and M&A. Earlier in his career, John led the go-to-market strategy practices for a US and UK consultancy working with Fortune 500 brands to grow faster. In 2009 he became CEO of a programmatic digital advertising SaaS platform serving mid-size media companies, growing the business 5X before its sale in 2015. John subsequently led North America for Cision Insights, managing a team of 300 providing earned media monitoring, reputation measurement, and insight services for global clients. And, most recently, he was COO of a digital ‘test-and-learn’ services firm, helping D2C companies like DoorDash and Bombas optimize customer acquisition. John has significant M&A and post-merger integration experience, has raised institutional capital, and is also a Partner in an early-stage investment firm. John earned his Bachelor and Master of Business Administration degrees from the Olin School at Washington University in St. Louis.
