Chas is the founder of Rosemont Investment Partners, LLC and CEO of Rosemont Investment Group, LLC. He oversees sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating prospective investments. He works closely with portfolio companies to help them sustain and grow their franchises. Prior to forming Rosemont Investment Partners, LLC in May 2000, Chas founded Investment Counseling, Inc., one of the first asset management business consultants and industry research firms, in 1989. Chas launched Investment Counseling, Inc. as a research boutique by introducing business, financial, and compensation analyses to the investment management industry. In 1990, he created Measuring Operating. Efficiency, one of the earliest studies of money management businesses, and the forerunner to Competitive Challenges. Over the past 30 plus years he has worked with hundreds of firms on compensation and ownership, competitive positioning, growth strategies, valuation, networking, and overall best practices in the asset management industry. Prior to establishing Investment Counseling, Inc., he was a principal with the executive search firm of Lee Calhoon & Co., specializing in the field of pensions and investments. Chas is a frequent speaker and occasional author on business issues and challenges in the investment management business. He holds a BA in English from Boston College.
