Peter holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Accounting degree, Higher Diploma in Company Law and Higher Diploma in Tax Law from the University of Witwatersrand. In addition to this he holds an Advanced Diploma in Banking Law from RAU and is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. Peter joined the Private Equity team in 2007 and is responsible for the raising and structuring of debt capital introduced into portfolio companies acquired and owned by Rockwood. He serves on the boards and board subcommitees of Kwikspace, Bravo Group and Enviroserv (alternate) and chairs the Finance and Risk Committee of Kwikspace. Peter joined the team from Old Mutual Specialised Finance where he jointly headed up Debt Origination, the business responsible for leading Old Mutual’s participation in syndicated loans, acquisition and structured finance transactions. Prior to joining Old Mutual, Peter held senior positions at Nedbank Capital in both their Securitisation and Specialised Finance businesses, responsible for the origination and execution of a number of landmark funding transactions.
