Mr. Zapalac has been an investment professional with Rockland Capital since 2003. His primary responsibilities at Rockland include origination, evaluation and structuring of investments. Mr. Zapalac also plays a key role in the management of the commercial affairs of Rockland’s portfolio companies. Since 2001, Mr. Zapalac has worked in the energy industry. Before Rockland, he was involved in acquisitions, restructurings and divestitures of independent power projects at El Paso Merchant Energy. During his time at El Paso, Mr. Zapalac was involved in transaction due diligence, structuring, negotiations and valuation. Previously, he worked as an engineer in the oil field services industry. Mr. Zapalac received a BS in Engineering and an MBA in Finance both from the University of Texas at Austin.
