Bio

Gary is Co-Founder and a Principal of Riverstone. Gary serves as the firm's CFO and is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and analyzing investments made by the firm. Since 2003, Gary has also served as the CFO of Riverstone Communities and is a minority member. Prior joining Riverstone Communities, he was the founder of The Spectra Group, LLC, a firm specializing in troubled debt restructurings, and acted as the firm's President from 1997 to 2001. Prior to joining The Spectra Group, LLC, Gary served as either CFO or Controller in a number of industries including manufacturing, marketing, healthcare and mortgage banking. He was a member of the faculty of the University of Michigan-Dearborn Business School, as a lecturer in financial, management and cost accounting. Gary graduated from the University Michigan - Dearborn Business School. He obtained a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Detroit-Mercy and is a Certified Public Accountant.
