For eight years, Etienne practiced law in Paris, New York and Washington, working with international law firms (Jones Day, Reavis and Pogue and Stibbe Simont Monahan Duhot) where he specialized in structuring and advising clients for their Private Equity transactions as well as mergers & acquisitions. He is a former member of the Paris bar and a member of the New York bar. In 1997, Etienne was named Tax Director for Banque AIG, the European subsidiary of AIG Financial Products Corp., where he specialized in derivatives and structured finance transactions. Etienne became Managing Director of Mirabaud Financial Planning SA in Geneva, the subsidiary of the Banque Privée Suisse Mirabaud & Cie in charge of all investments in tangible assets and private companies for the clients and partners of the bank, as well as the structuring of investment vehicles for institutional investors and high net worth individuals. In 2013 Etienne became one of the Founding and Managing Partners of RIVE Private Investment in Switzerland. His role as a partner in RIVE is to develop and manage the Geneva and Luxembourg offices. On the investment side, Etienne is member of the investment committee and in charge of all structuring aspects of the transactions. Etienne holds a Master in International Taxation from the University of Paris XI and an LL.M in Taxation from New York University. Etienne is a member of the Young President Organization’s Alpine Chapter.
