Bio

Bob Swanson founded the Ridgewood Companies in 1982. Under his leadership, the affiliated Ridgewood companies have raised and managed more than $4.5 billion in capital and commitments, focused primarily on energy, infrastructure, and real asset investment strategies. In addition to serving as Chairman of Ridgewood Private Equity Partners, Bob is also Chairman and CEO of Ridgewood Energy, an affiliated company dedicated to the exploration and production of major new oil fields in the deepwater U.S. Gulf of Mexico. Bob received a J.D. from Fordham Law School and a B.A. from Amherst College.
