Bio

Luis A. Fernandez is a partner and founder of Red Barn Equity Partners. Prior to Red Barn, Mr. Fernandez was a senior member of the investment team at Coatue Management, a $20B technology, consumer and healthcare focused firm founded in 1998. At Coatue, Mr. Fernandez was primarily focused on analyzing public and private opportunities in the Healthcare, Consumer and Food sectors, with a particular emphasis on identifying emerging technologies and companies with disruptive business models. Mr. Fernandez was responsible for considerable exposure in the public markets as well as leading notable investments in the robotic surgery and precision medicine fields. Mr. Fernandez began his career at J.P. Morgan where he worked in various buyside roles in the Asset Management division. Mr. Fernandez is a graduate of Trinity College where he remains actively involved as a member of the Board of Fellows. Mr. Fernandez was born and raised in South Florida and is passionate about animal and environmental sustainability.
