Bio

Alex co-founded Rainier Partners in 2020 and is a Managing Partner. Prior to Rainier, Alex was a Managing Director of Altamont Capital Partners, where he joined at the inception of the fund and spent ten years there. Before Altamont, Alex worked at Alpine Investors and Golden Gate Capital after working as a consultant at Bain & Company. Alex received his AB, Phi Beta Kappa, from Dartmouth College. He received his MBA from Stanford Business School, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar. Alex grew up in Seattle, where he currently lives with his wife and three children. He also serves as a Director on the Board of the Space Needle Corporation. Alex remembers enjoying hobbies like golf before he had kids and currently enjoys exploring the Northwest with his family or getting exercise running and hiking.
