Girish is a Managing Director at Raine and joined the firm’s Mumbai office in 2017. At Raine, Girish has worked on principal and advisory transactions across the telecom, media & entertainment and technology sectors including having advised SoftBank on the sale of their stake in Flipkart to Walmart, Videocon D2H’s merger with DishTV and Providence Equity stake sale in Bharti Infratel-Indus Towers merger as well as Raine’s investment in Games24x7. Prior to joining Raine, Girish was a Director at UBS Investment Bank in Mumbai. In his 10+ years at UBS, he has advised a wide range of Indian companies on M&A, private placement and capital markets transactions. He has focused on the telecom, media and consumer and consumer internet sectors and in the past has worked on transactions for companies including Bharti Airtel, Bharti Infratel, Vodafone India, Videocon D2h and Flipkart, amongst others. Girish began his career at PwC, working in the Transfer Pricing team in Mumbai. He holds a Bachelor of Management Studies degree with a Finance specialization from Mumbai University.
