Bio

Michael has over 23 years of experience in real estate private equity, having worked in Europe, Asia and the U.S. He started as one of the initiating members of the Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds in Europe, working with the firm out of London and NYC. He was then a founding partner of Soros Real Estate (later Grove International Partners). He built up the firm’s business in Asia which at its peak held 7 investment platforms with close to $2.0bn equity invested in a variety of asset classes including commercial real estate, non-performing loans, hospitality, healthcare and retail. Michael was responsible for raising the firm’s largest $2bn RGI fund, he was the co-Chair of the partnership committee, a member of the investment committee and the co-Chair of Grove Fund Management. Most recently, he was an Operating Partner and Member of the Management Advisory Board of Towerbrook Capital Partners in London and a Managing Partner at Synaxia Capital. Michael received a BS in Management from the London School of Economics. He is Greek citizen. He speaks English, French and Greek.
