Bio

Barry joined Quilvest in January 2010. He is a Partner in the New York Office, where he is responsible for identifying and closing fund-level, secondary, and direct real estate investments across the Americas. Barry is a registered officer of Quilvest Securities (US Broker Dealer). Prior to joining Quilvest, Barry was a member of the investment team in DLJ/Credit Suisse’s Real Estate Private Equity Group where he held numerous positions of increasing responsibilities since 2001. During his tenure at Credit Suisse, Barry was responsible for acquiring and managing opportunistic real estate investments for their discretionary funds, where he focused on properties, operating companies and distressed debt secured by real estate throughout the capital structure and across all sectors in the industry. After executing the transactions, he remained involved with ongoing asset management responsibilities, including devising workout and repositioning strategies for portfolio investments, obtaining title to properties via the foreclosure and bankruptcy processes, and overseeing operating partners and business plans. Barry graduated summa cum laude from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, with degrees in finance and accounting. He is married with three children.
