Amin Shafie is a Partner in QuestMark Capital Management Sdn Bhd. He had built his reputation and track record as a sought-after technology analyst while working in MSC Venture Corporation (“MSCVC”) from 2000 to 2009. He was a critical team member of MSCVC for technology verifications and trends and leads in all technology/technical due diligence for MSCVC’s investments. He participates actively in portfolio management, working closely with the CEOs and senior management of the portfolio companies in technology research/verification and market assessments. He had sat on the Board of several portfolio companies of MSCVC and was instrumental in setting up companies in TV media, animation, new media & mobile applications, and medical devices. His experience also includes the setup and adoption of new business models and turnaround and workout for such companies. He is also keen in the area of renewable resources and green technology. Prior to joining MSCVC, Amin Shafie was a freelance software consultant and designer. His primary focus was in enterprise level, decision support and knowledge management software. Amin Shafie left MSCVC in 2009 to establish a partnership in QuestMark Capital Management Sdn Bhd. Amin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Computer Information Systems from Western Michigan University.
