Herman Hazewinkel can look back on a long career as director and supervisor in the upper echelons of many Dutch companies. For fifteen years he was member of the Executive Board of the construction companies Kondor Wessels and Volker Wessels, nine years of which as chairman. Following his departure in 2008, he has occupied a series of consultancy positions and supervisory board memberships at Schiphol, Boskalis and TKH, among others. He trained as a chartered accountant, and before his switch to the construction industry was a partner at Ernst & Young and its legal predecessors.
