Bio

Mr. Kang has worked with the Prostar team for more than five years and in his Operating Partner role provides sector expertise on clean energy and natural gas. He has more than four decades of experience in the energy sector in South Korea and the UK. Mr. Kang was previously CEO of Prostar portfolio company, Kyungnam Energy. Prior to that he was CEO of Korea Energy Terminal, a subsidiary of Korea National Oil Corporation. Mr. Kang has also held chief executive and senior leadership roles at Daewoo and Isu Chemical. He has served as Chairman of the Korean Institute of Chemical Engineers and was awarded the Korean Government Industrial Service medal for contribution to South Korea’s export industry.
