Bio

Steve Sangalis is a founding partner of Progress Equity Partners, Ltd. Mr. Sangalis is a highly seasoned private equity professional with twenty years experience in sourcing, structuring, executing and managing private investments in lower middle market companies. Prior to forming Progress Equity, Mr. Sangalis was a founding partner of Rocky Mountain Capital Partners, a private equity and subordinated debt investment firm which managed over $200 million of institutional capital. Mr. Sangalis joined Rocky Mountain’s predecessor firm, Hanifen Imhoff Capital Partners at inception in 1994 and was directly involved in the development of all facets of Rocky Mountain’s investment strategy and operations. In conjunction with two other partners, Mr. Sangalis and Rocky Mountain successfully completed over 25 private investments from 1998 to 2003. Mr. Sangalis started his career as a Bank Examiner with the U.S. Treasury Department where he was involved with audit functions regarding real estate, consumer, and commercial loans. Mr. Sangalis currently serves on the boards of Crestcom International, Diversified Machine Systems, and Davey Coach and has previously served in a similar capacity for the boards of Terracare Associates, Westcon, Conisus and numerous other portfolio companies. He received an MBA with an emphasis in finance from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business and a BSBA from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
