Scott Rooth is an executive partner on the private equity team at PPM America Capital Partners (PPMACP), the private equity arm of PPM America, Inc. (PPM). He is responsible for the management of the team as well as originating and approving private equity transactions. He was previously a member of the firm’s private finance team, which prior to 1997, was focused on leveraged finance. Prior to joining PPM in 1992, Scott was a managing director at Equitable Capital Management. Previously, he was a senior vice president with GE Capital after beginning his career with Continental Bank. Scott earned a master’s degree in finance and marketing from Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree in American history from Yale University.
