Mr. Walsh is a Director of Post Oak Energy Capital. Prior to joining Post Oak, Mr. Walsh was an Associate at The CapStreet Group, a middle market private equity firm based in Houston where he focused on energy and industrial opportunities. While at CapStreet, Mr. Walsh participated in the firm’s investment activities, including deal sourcing, transaction structuring and execution, and worked closely with portfolio companies in developing strategy and executing business plans. Prior to his role at CapStreet, Mr. Walsh operated in a similar capacity as an Associate at Quantum Energy Partners, a leading energy-focused private equity firm with over $6.5 billion under management. At Quantum, Mr. Walsh focused on the Upstream, Midstream and Oilfield Services sectors while participating in both the execution and monitoring of investments. Previously, Mr. Walsh was a Senior Analyst at Merrill Lynch Investment Bank in the Global Energy Group where he worked across all energy sectors. Mr. Walsh received a M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an A.B. from Rice University in both Economics and Managerial Studies where he graduated with Honors.
