Bio

Mr. Davidson is a Managing Director and a founding partner of Post Oak Energy Capital. Additionally, Mr. Davidson is on the firm’s investment committee and serves on the board of directors for a number of the firm’s portfolio companies. Since 1993, Mr. Davidson has been actively engaged in private equity investments in oil and gas, oilfield services, manufacturing, value-added distribution and business services. Prior to the formation of Post Oak in 2006, Mr. Davidson was a Managing Director with Rice Sangalis Toole & Wilson (formerly Rice Capital), a Houston, Texas-based private equity firm that raised multiple funds for investment in equity and subordinated debt securities. Mr. Davidson has significant experience investing in and managing private companies including origination, due diligence, structuring and documentation, operational management, financings and exit execution/monetization. Mr. Davidson has worked directly with management teams in all aspects of the operations, financial analysis/reporting, strategy, recruiting key personnel, compensation/incentive plans, risk management and capital spending. Mr. Davidson began his career in 1987 with Wachovia Corporation (formerly First Union Corporation) in its corporate banking division and was Assistant Vice President when he left in 1991 to pursue his M.B.A. Mr. Davidson received an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin in 1993 and a B.S. in commerce from Washington and Lee University in 1987.
