Mr. Niemczak is a Senior Vice President of Post Oak Energy Capital. Prior to joining Post Oak, Mr. Niemczak was an Associate in the Energy Group at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR), a leading global investment firm and one of the oldest and largest private equity firms in the world with ~$60 billion of assets under management. While at KKR, Mr. Niemczak was responsible for financial modeling, due diligence, structuring, execution and monitoring of portfolio companies as well as new investments across all sectors of the energy landscape, with a particular focus on exploration and production. During his time at KKR, Mr. Niemczak executed investments across a number of different pools of capital including Private Equity, Mezzanine and Royalties and evaluated opportunities across most conventional and unconventional basins in North America. Leading up to his role within KKR, Mr. Niemczak performed similar duties as an Associate at First Reserve Corporation, the largest energy-specific private equity fund with over $19 billion under management. Mr. Niemczak focused most of his time on the Oilfield Services and Downstream sectors while working on the execution and monitoring of investments. Prior to First Reserve, Mr. Niemczak was an Analyst in the Global Energy Group of UBS Investment Bank where he worked across all energy sectors. Mr. Niemczak received an A.B. degree in Economics from Harvard.
