Bio

Edwin has worked with, evaluated and invested in businesses across a broad range of industries and sizes. Prior to starting Pillsman Partners, LLC, Edwin was a Director and Head of European Chemicals for Nomura's Natural Resources and Energy M&A group based in London, where he was responsible for advising specialty and commodity chemical companies on various debt, equity and M&A transactions. Edwin also spent four years working in Lehman Brothers' European Natural Resource and Energy investment banking group where he advised chemical, oil services and mining clients on a variety of financings and acquisitions. In 2001, Edwin co-founded Tool Syndicate, a developer of lightweight, platform-agnostic applications for business-to-business communication, information sharing and real-time collaboration. Prior to Tool Syndicate, Edwin worked in business development for eCircles, an early social networking platform, where he was responsible for digital photography initiatives and working to further develop the Company's close, strategic partnership with Adobe Systems. Earlier in his career, Edwin worked in private equity for Apax Partners where he sourced and evaluated deals in the Telecommunications and Enterprise Software sectors and in investment banking where he was a corporate finance analyst in Lehman Brothers' Industrials M&A group. Mr. Burke earned an MBA from Columbia Business School in Finance and Management. He previously earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Georgetown University.
