Bio

Ryo is a Partner and Head of Japan. He has been involved in a number of transactions including Akindo Sushiro and John Masters Organics. Prior to joining Permira, Ryo worked for nine years at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts in a leadership role within the Asian private equity team. He worked on a number of transactions including Intelligence Holdings and Panasonic Healthcare. Ryo previously spent five years in investment banking at Goldman Sachs in New York and Tokyo, and prior to the completion of his MBA served as the Government Official at the Ministry of Finance, Japan. Ryo serves on the Board of the Japan Private Equity Association since 2015 and is currently Vice Chairman of the Association. Ryo received a Bachelor in Law from the University of Tokyo, and a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
