Rand joined the Permira Growth Opportunities (PGO) team in 2022 to lead minority-focused growth investments in the Technology sector. Prior to joining Permira, Rand was a senior member of the investment team at Coatue Management, a $50bn global technology-focused investment manager. At Coatue, Rand operated as both a public market and private growth equity investor responsible for identifying and analysing disruptive, high-growth technology companies. He specifically focused on investments in Software, Enterprise Hardware, Electric Vehicles and Climate Tech. Prior to Coatue, Rand was an Investment Professional in Permira’s Technology buyout team where he worked on a number of transactions including Genesys, LegalZoom, Ancestry.com and Informatica. Prior to that, Rand worked at Goldman Sachs in Investment Banking. Rand has a degree in Public Policy from Duke University, USA, and a MBA from Harvard Business School, USA.
