Philippe Renié joined Pechel in May 2012. He is Managing Director of Pechel Industries. Philippe started his career with Alcatel in the USA and Egypt (1984-1987). He then joined The Boston Consulting Group & Cie in Paris where he conducted consulting assignments in various industries throughout Europe (1989-1991). From there he moved to Eurosuez, a €180m pan-European development capital/buyout investment fund sponsored by Suez and Mercapital (1991-1997). In 1997, Philippe co-founded SG Capital Europe (now Syntegra Capital), a mid-market pan- European private equity operation backed by Société Générale and Goldman Sachs, where he headed the Paris office (1997-2009). Subsequently, Philippe served as a senior partner at Industries & Finances (2011-2012), where he initiated and led two “buy and build” investments. He holds an MSc degree in telecommunication engineering from Telecom ParisTech (ENST) and an MBA from INSEAD. He is also a former auditor of IHEDN (the French National Institute for Defence and Security Studies).
