Sung sources and evaluates new investment opportunities and provides business support for our portfolio companies. Sung is also leading the efforts in meeting and working with the brilliant minds who would like to partner with us in developing revolutionary therapies. Prior to joining PBM Capital, Sung was a Vice President in the Healthcare Investment Banking group at Morgan Stanley in New York. She led execution of mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt transactions for clients across the healthcare industry. Her coverage focus included large pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Sung also was nominated and selected by the firm management to co-chair the Morgan Stanley Institutional Nonprofit Collaborative, an ongoing semi-annual firmwide initiative, partnering with Youth I.N.C. to identify and deliver strategic projects for its affiliated nonprofits. Prior to her time at Morgan Stanley, she was a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator in the Neuroendocrine Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston where she managed multiple clinical trial projects including two Phase III trials from start to finish including patient screening, recruitment, enrollment, data collection and analysis. She has five publications in leading medical journals including two publications in the Journal of the American Medical Association, JAMA. Sung graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with an AB in Genetics, Cell and Developmental Biology from Dartmouth College and received an MBA and SM from MIT Sloan School of Management and Harvard Medical School – MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology.
