Mike joined Parallel49 Equity in 2016 after interning with the firm in 2015, and is based in Lake Forest. He is a key member of the firm’s investment transaction team. Mike is a board member of Road Safety Services and an observer on the board of directors for Gold Standard Baking and Questco, all current portfolio companies. Prior to joining Parallel49 Equity, Mike was part of the investment team of Arbor Investments, a middle-market private equity fund focused on buyouts in the U.S. and Canada, where he completed a number of acquisitions, divestitures and recapitalizations. He was also actively involved in overseeing active portfolio company investments. Prior to Arbor, Mike worked in the investment banking group of Stout Risius Ross, where he worked on a variety of M&A transactions. Mike obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Financial Management and Economics from the University of St. Thomas (MN), graduating summa cum laude. He also obtained a Masters of Business Administration with concentrations in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management from the University of Chicago – Booth School of Business, finishing with high honors as an Amy and Richard F. Wallman Scholar.
