Charles Garvin, Principal, has over 25 years of experience as an institutional investor and CEO. Mr. Garvin was a founding principal of The Beta Group, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm; and previously served as a Vice President and member of the Board of Directors of The Boston Consulting Group, the world’s leading strategy consulting organization. Mr. Garvin founded and served as CEO of Personics Corporation, a pioneer in electronic music distribution which was subsequently sold to Time Warner, and Telescan Systems, manufacturer of computer-based kiosks for retail point-of-purchase marketing. Mr. Garvin holds a JD from Harvard Law School, a BA from Harvard College, and attended Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar. He is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia (currently inactive). Mr. Garvin is a US patent holder, and served as Chair of the Systems Requirements Committee of the California State Commission on Educational Technology.
