Bio

Kevin Barner joined Paceline in May 2023 with a focus on private equity investing. Kevin currently serves on the Advisory Board of Paceline portfolio companies AHF Products, LLC, Kelso Industries, and Brown and Settle, Inc. Prior to Paceline, Kevin was Managing Director with Lone Star, where he led negotiations of complex acquisitions and leveraged finance transactions, routinely interacted with multiple stakeholders including management teams, lenders, investment bankers, and investors, and worked closely with the senior executive teams of Lone Star’s portfolio companies. Prior to Lone Star, Kevin was Vice President and Associate at The Halifax Group, a middle market private equity firm, where he was responsible for identifying, evaluating and sourcing private equity investment opportunities and was a board member or board observer for several of Halifax’s portfolio companies, including Service Champ, Aptiv Solutions, North American Video, and XLA. Prior to Halifax, Kevin was an Analyst with BB&T Capital Markets (n/k/a Truist) Investment Banking with a focus on mergers and acquisitions across building products, homebuilding, and other industrial businesses. Kevin has served as a member of the board of directors of Continental Building Products, Inc. (NYSE: CPBX), Forterra, Inc. (NYSE: FRTA), Foundation Building Materials (NYSE: FBM), American Bath Group, and Arclin. In addition, Kevin served as a Senior External Advisor to McKinsey & Company’s building products and home services practice, where he helped advise large players across the industry on key strategic initiatives. Kevin received a Bachelor of Science in Commerce with distinction and a concentration in finance from the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce.
