Bio

Educated at McGill University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, retail technology visionary Howard Stotland founded STS Systems in 1973, a leading provider of information systems to the petroleum and retail industries. The firm grew from a startup in Montreal to an organization with more than 750 employees in Canada, the US and the UK, with revenues of $135 million. STS Systems serviced more than 300 retail businesses and its client list read like a Who’s Who in retailing: Barneys NY, DKNY, Escada, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Chicos, Gymboree, Dicks, Bobs, Holt Renfrew, Reitmans, Roots and Jones New York.. Howard currently sits on the Board of Directors of Reitmans Canada Ltd. (a speciality retail chain of 800 stores) and is a former board member of Danier Leather (2001-2006), Canada Health Infoway. Howard successfully exited investments in Blueslice Networks and Oceanwide where he was a Director as well.
