Michael (Mike) Anderson is an Operating Partner focused on all aspects of talent for One Rock's portfolio companies. Mr. Anderson brings over 30 years of experience in executive assessment and development, leadership team effectiveness, strategy, organizational design, change management and C-suite succession planning. Prior to joining One Rock, Mr. Anderson worked with multiple private equity firms, including as an operating director focused on optimizing leadership talent across the firm’s portfolio companies. Prior to his work in private equity, Mr. Anderson spent 19 years with Spencer Stuart, most recently as the Chief Innovation Officer and Global Head of Products and Services overseeing substantial growth in consulting services that complement the firm’s core search offerings. Previously, he oversaw Spencer Stuart’s offices globally and, prior to that, led the firm’s North American region and served on the firm’s Board of Directors. Mr. Anderson joined Spencer Stuart from McKinsey & Company, where he was a consultant across several disciplines and also built the firm’s worldwide experienced hire recruiting capability, oversaw staffing and professional development in the Boston Office and helped lead a firmwide training program on interpersonal and communication skills. Mr. Anderson earned his A.B. in economics from Harvard College and his M.B.A. with academic distinction from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar. He is a graduate of the Hudson Institute’s Executive Coaching program and is certified by the International Coaching Federation.
