Melissa is Director, Investment Tax in the Toronto office, advising the Private Equity investment teams on tax and structuring aspects of their transactions. Melissa has been with the team since March 2014. Melissa has extensive experience providing tax advice in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, and asset management. Prior to joining Private Equity, Melissa was at Deloitte LLP, where she was Senior Manager, M&A Tax, leading the tax due diligence and tax structuring elements of transactions. In the earlier part of her career, she worked in an investment role at Edgestone Capital Partners. Melissa has an Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Queen’s University and a Master of Taxation from University of Waterloo.
