Barbara is responsible for the strategic human resource planning function and directing all the people functions of the organisation. Her functional responsibilities include defining and implementing the People Plan, as well as the Organisational Development Plan aligned to business needs and strategy. Barbara advises on the OMAI Exco on all human capital functions and empowers organisational culture. Before joining Old Mutual, Barbara owned and managed a consulting company for 4 years, specialising in organisational change, leadership, facilitation and mediation. Prior to establishing her consulting business, she was a Senior Manager in EY Advisory and Consulting for 12 years, where she managed various human capital projects in both private and public sectors, specialising in organisational restructuring, change management, project management and executive coaching. Barbara holds a Masters in Management and is a registered Coach with COMENSA, as well as a Mediator registered with the Institute for Dispute Resolution (IDR).
