Joseph Meyer is Managing Partner of Observer Capital. Prior to founding Observer Capital in 2013, Mr. Meyer was an investment professional at Elliott Management, a hedge fund with approximately $20 billion in assets under management, where he focused on process-driven investing – including private equity, capital solutions, activist investing, and distressed opportunities – across a range of industries. Prior to Elliott, Mr. Meyer spent four years as an operationally-oriented private equity investor at MSD Capital, Michael Dell’s family office, and at Liberty Associated Partners. Mr. Meyer began his career as a telecom, media, and technology investment banking analyst at Lehman Brothers. In addition to his investment experience, Mr. Meyer has also held operational leadership roles and currently serves as Chairman of Observer Media. Mr. Meyer received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
