Bio

Mr. Tsubota joined Oaktree in 2016 from PIMCO Japan Ltd., where he spent around six years as Executive Vice President and led business development for the Japanese retail market in Global Wealth Management. Prior thereto, Mr. Tsubota was with various investment banks, including Mitsubishi UFJ, Morgan Stanley and Bear Stearns. Mr. Tsubota began his career at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, where he most recently served as Vice President in the Portfolio Management Department. Mr. Tsubota received his B.A. degree in operations research, as well as his M.S. degree in applied system, from Kyoto University in Japan. Mr. Tsubota is a native Japanese speaker.
