Bio

Ms. Chao is the General Manager of Oaktree Overseas Investment Fund Management (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Managing Director of Marketing and Client Relations at Oaktree Capital (Hong Kong) Limited. Ms. Chao joined Oaktree in 2011 from Adveq, where she was a vice president responsible for strategic investment initiatives and private equity funds investments in China. Prior to Adveq, she worked as an investment analyst at Australia Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation in Sydney, investing in Private Equity, Infrastructure and Real Estate funds globally. Ms. Chao began her career as an investment banking analyst at Citigroup in Hong Kong and Shanghai. She received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Melbourne and a Master of Applied Finance degree from Monash University in Australia. Ms. Chao sits on the inaugural Board of Directors for the Beijing Asset Management Association and is a special committee member for the Overseas Investment and Financial Opening Committee of Insurance Asset Management Association of China. She is a Certified Public Accountant in Australia and is fluent in Mandarin.
