Bio

Mr. Chen is a senior vice president in Oaktree’s Global Opportunities group based in Hong Kong. Prior to joining the firm in 2022, Mr. Chen was a managing director at YF Life International, where he led and executed real estate investments in the form of public and private bonds, equity, fund and direct deals. Prior thereto, Mr. Chen was a senior director in the Capital Markets team at Gaw Capital focused on separate account equity and mezzanine debt investments in global gateway cities on behalf of Greater China institutional investors. His previous experience also includes working as a vice president in Deutsche Bank Asset Management’s alternative investment platform and at KPMG in the Corporate Finance practice. Mr. Chen began his career at a Japanese investment bank in Singapore. He received dual MBA degrees from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and Pforzheim University of Applied Science in Germany and his B.A. degree in Investment Management from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. Mr. Chen is a native Chinese speaker and is fluent in English. He is a CFA charterholder and a Certified Public Accountant (Australia).
