Bio

Mr. McLafferty is a vice president in Oaktree’s Opportunities group in New York. He joined the firm in 2021 from Lapides Asset Management, a long-only, small-cap, value-oriented fund where he served for four years as a research analyst. Prior thereto, Mr. McLafferty was a senior product manager in the corporate strategy group at The Advisory Board Company in Washington, D.C. He began his career as an engineer for the Naval Surface Warfare Center. Mr. McLafferty received an M.S. in electrical engineering from Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Delaware. He is a CFA charterholder.
