Bio

Sam joined Oakley in 2015 and has over 9 years of private equity investment and finance experience. Sam leads on deal origination, execution, portfolio management in the Education and Business Services sectors. During his time at Oakley, he has worked on a number of investments including IU Group, Phenna Group, Bright Stars, K12 Education, Schülerhilfe and Inspired. Prior to joining Oakley, Sam was Speechwriter and Private Secretary to the Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne. He previously worked in a number of finance positions in HM Treasury, including as senior adviser responsible for coordinating the government’s £40bn annual capital budget. Sam holds an MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Balliol College, Oxford.
