Shawn is a Principal with Novo Tellus Capital Partners. He has over a decade of experience conducting investments in Precision Engineering, Logistics, Consumer Businesses and Healthcare. Shawn has engaged with companies at different stages of development including high-technology start-ups, small and medium enterprises as well as regional conglomerates. In previous appointments, Mr Tan was Vice President of EDBI, the corporate investment arm of the Economic Development Board of Singapore and; Asia Pacific Head for Sharjah Asset Management, the Sovereign Wealth Fund for the Government of Sharjah, an Emirate of the United Arab Emirates; and Investment Director at Westcomb Financial Group, a corporate finance company which was listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange. Earlier in his career, Mr Tan was involved in the commercialisation and development of technology enterprises at the Agency for Science Technology and Research (A*STAR). Mr Tan holds a Bachelor with Honours Degree in Genetics and Molecular Biology from Glasgow University, UK and a Masters Degree in Applied Finance from Adelaide University, Australia.
