Bio

Chris is the Managing Partner and a Founder of NOVA Infrastructure and has 24 years of experience in private equity, investment banking and infrastructure operations and engineering. Since 2017 Chris has built NOVA with Allison Kingsley, forming the NOVA team and leading the execution of infrastructure investments for NOVA in the target sectors of transportation, environmental services, energy and energy transition, and communications. He serves as Chair of NOVA’s Investment Committee. Prior to NOVA, Chris was a Managing Director and Co-Portfolio Manager for Oaktree Capital’s Infrastructure Investing strategy, following Oaktree’s acquisition of Highstar Capital in 2014. He was one of four owners and a Partner of Highstar Capital, a fourth-generation infrastructure private equity firm responsible for over $6.3 billion of infrastructure investments. Earlier in his career, Chris worked in Lehman Brothers’ energy investment banking group and as an engineer in the oil and gas industry. Chris currently serves on the Board of Directors for Integrated Waste Solutions Group, a vertically integrated waste platform that he co-founded, and Hawthorne Aviation, a private aviation FBO platform. From 2013-2022, Chris also served on the Board of Directors of the National Passenger Rail Corporation (Amtrak), the largest provider of passenger rail service in the U.S.; nominated by President Obama in 2012 and confirmed by the U.S. Senate in 2013. Chris holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University.
