Ryan joined Northill in September 2012. Prior to joining Northill, Ryan was the Director of Strategy and Development at BNY Mellon Asset Management, where he was responsible for mergers and acquisitions and execution of strategic projects on behalf of a $1.1tn AuM multi-boutique asset manager. Significant projects while at BNY Mellon included the acquisitions of Insight Investment Management, Blackfriars Asset Management and West LB Mellon Asset Management. He also delivered projects spanning divestitures, joint ventures, market entry strategies, development of incentive plans and boutique consolidation projects. Ryan was a member of the BNY Mellon Asset Management operating committee, a director of WestLB Mellon Asset Management Kapitalanlagegesellschaft mbH and was a member of the Alcentra executive committee. Ryan joined BNY Mellon in 2003 in Australia where he helped to execute the divestiture of the company’s HR and Pension consulting businesses, moving to London once this project was completed. Previous to this, Ryan was the general manager of an Australian IT supplier for the superannuation administration industry, and previously held marketing and business administration roles in the financial services and legal industries. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
