Bio

Prior to Northern Pacific Group, Scott served as Senior Managing Director of The Gores Group, an operations focused private equity firm with over $4 billion in assets under management. Scott continues to serve as an advisor to Gores. Scott also was a candidate for governor of Minnesota in 2014. In 2011, Scott co-founded and currently serves as Chairman of FirstCNG, a natural gas filling station company. Prior to joining Gores in 2002, Scott led a career as an investment banker at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, where he also worked at DLJ Merchant Banking, and at UBS Warburg. In 1999, Scott co-founded YapStone, an online payment services company. Prior to joining DLJ, Scott served as an analyst at Trammell Crow Company. Scott earned a B.S. in Business Administration and a B.A. in Economics, cum laude, from Pepperdine University in 1988, and an M.B.A. in Finance and Marketing from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1991. Scott currently serves as co-chair of Achieve Minnesota.
