Bio

A Fort Wayne native and founding partner of North River Capital LLC, Rick graduated from Elmhurst High School in 1975. He then went on to attend Washington University in St. Louis and to earn a bachelor’s degree in 1980 from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. Rick began his career with OmniSource Corporation in 1980. He served as Executive Vice-President and as a member of the Board of Directors. During this time, Rick was responsible for overseeing the tremendous growth the non-ferrous metals processing and trading segments from about 100 million pounds annually to over 1 billion pounds when OmniSource was sold. Rick left Steel Dynamics in 2008 to pursue the formation of North River Capital LLC and other interests. Rick has served the community as a member of the Canterbury School Foundation Board of Trustees, a member of the Sycamore Hills Golf Club Board of Directors, and a Trustee of the Rifkin Family Foundation (a philanthropic organization).
