Bill is a founding member of North Branch Capital. Bill is passionate about the manufacture and distribution of industrial products and the services required to keep businesses running. Growing up in a family business that engineers and manufactures material handling systems, Bill learned to turn a wrench at a young age and has developed a keen eye for operational excellence. Most of his professional life Bill spent in management and executive positions at McMaster-Carr, the preeminent privately-held industrial distributor in North America. In sixteen years, Bill’s scope of experience was vast spanning warehouse operations, systems development, Sales and Marketing, e-commerce, and serving as the company’s Supply Chain Officer. Prior to joining North Branch, Bill also gained valuable experience in the world of Private Equity ventures as the Senior Vice-President of Supply-Chain and E-Commerce at Filtration Group where he oversaw many functions of the world’s fastest growing Filtration business. Bill earned a BA in Economics and Finance from the University of Michigan and holds a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Bill is civic-minded and has served as a Commissioner for the Elmhurst Economic Development commission for several years. He and his wife support a number of local charities and not-for-profit schools through volunteer leadership service. Formerly a good golfer and baseball player, Bill is better served to live vicariously through the successes of his three children.
